Lateral ventricle: proliferating progenitor olfactory interneurons.
Fascinating…yet so mundane ?
Higher power showing capillaries that are either anastomosing or, arterioles that are branching to form capillaries.
I always welcome positive, corrective comments.
Snap-frozen ( unfixed) mouse brain. Fixed for 10 mins in 10% Formalin in PBS. This antibody is negative for FFPWS +/- AR
Arrowheads indicate features: red for positive astrocytes ( lefthand one shows cell processes associating with an arteriole/post-capillary venule??).
Black for positive capillary endothelial cells; green shows processes ( I assume astrocytes) actually associating with a capillary ( that has CD71-positive endothelium).
I am not sure if Astrocytes should be CD71-positive as I do not see this, patently, in rat sections under identical conditions.
Endothelial cells of capillaries are positive.
Positive white blood cells are seen in the central vein. Individual cells are similarly positive within the ? sinusoids?( black arrowheads).
There is a pale positivity to the membrane of some hepatocytes ( red arrowheads). This may be non-specific?
