Osteoblasts forming the jaw are positive. There is also a moderate positivity in  the developing tooth pulp.

In the brain, only microglia are positive.

In mouse embryo, osteoblasts and a subset of fibroblasts are also positive.

Human and rat tissues ( brains) are negative, under identical conditions.

I got poor results using Citric acid pH6 HIER. A colleague tried TRIS pH9 and got slightly better results. However, TRIS pH10 gave the results shown in images

Positivity clear and confined to nervous system ( Auerbach’s plexus shown)

Nerve fibre

Nerve fibres and ganglion cells ( of Meissner’s plexus) are posiitve. Aurbach’s plexus is also positive ( not shown).
