Epidermis is just visible at the top of the image. Round structures  in the dermis are  developing hair follicles.

Coronal section: LV is Lateral ventricle; CC is Corpus callosum; red arrowhead indicates subventricular region where replacement olfactory bulb interneurons are continuously generated; black arrowhead indicates the rostro-migratory stream ( RMS) of these replacement interneurons; heading to the Olfactory bulb!

Note the intense positivity of MAP2 in these progenitor olfactory interneurones. I have no idea why this is so: explanations are welcome 🙂
