If the positive cells are activated microglia their shape   is ramified, not amoeboid ( same  in mouse).

Upper image is Iba1 expression.

Lower image is Asc. I do not know why there are two areas of high numbers of microglia. However, it can be seen that Asc is present in a small population of microglia ( activated?)

RMS of PONs ( aggregates of blue nuclei) . A subset of microglia are positive.

A different mouse brain: more positive cells are seen in the SVZ ( exit zone) than in other brain areas.

SVZ of lateral ventricle: positive cells ( microglia) are concentrated in region of progenitor olfactory neurones.

Striatum ( caudate putamen). Strong diffuse neuropil positivity.

An intense positivity is seen in some cells: here they appear to be in the neuronal tracks.

Nucleus of cerebellum ( dentate?) showing strong positivity in some cells ( neurones or glial?).

Generally used as a loading control for WB, I probed tissues with various anti beta actin antibodies.

This image ( cerebellum) shows a diffuse neuropil positivity in the molecular layer; and intense positivity in glomeruli of the Granule cell layer and a strong positivity in cells throughout the brain ( illustrated by red arrowheads here).

Are these cells neurones or glia?

Cerebellum: positive Purkinje cells and also, bottom left, a part of the white matter with positive ologodendrocytes.
