Arrowheads: green for what seems to me to be high endothelial venules; red for punctate positivity in basal cells of mucosal epithelium.
Comments welcome
Arrowheads indicate punctate positivity:
green for basal cells in mucosal epithelium; red for strange stuff.
Hippocampus
Cerebellum
Frontal cortex
Hippocampus.
Many amyloid plaques are seen
Frontal cortex showing negative amyloid plaques. Neuropil is positive( punctate).
Around each plaque there is intensely positive punctate positivity.
Interesting: red arrowheads indicate positive processes of an alpha synuclein- positive cell body.
Any suggestions out there?
Coloured arrowheads indicate features: red for classic Lewy body; green for dying neurone?; blue for positivity in cytoplasm of seemingly viable neurone ( obvious nucleus and prominent nucleolus).
