Strong positivity is seen also in mostly basal cell cytoplasm of mucosa.
I do not know if this is specific…comments welcomed.
Strongest positivity is seen in what seem to be dendritic cells in the germinal centre. Fine punctate positivity is seen in high endothelial cells.
This reagent does not work on FFPWS /Formalin/Acetone fixed fresh frozen sections of mouse lung/spleen. Perhaps it is human-specific?
A low power image showing that, if this antibody is specific, it expresses in what seem to be astrocytes that are predominantly in the grey matter of the cortex. In the adjacent white matter, an occasional “astrocyte” is positive but, very weakly, in comparison.
If the immunopositivity is specific, it appears that Frizzled 4 is localised to what I reckon are astrocytes; localised to membranes?
Cortex is shown. I repeated on three different brain FFPW sections with same results.
Lateral ventricle ( full of choroid plexus) showing lining cell nuclear positivity.
Upper edge is svz.
Note that occasional nuclei in adjacent regions are also positive.
I get this with several anti SOX2 abs. Not sure of it’s significance….comments welcomed!
svz of lateral ventricle. I assume that svz positivity is due to progenitor olfactory neurone generation?
However, I often see occasional nuclei within striatal areas that are removed from svz.
