TCS that I obtained many years ago, from ICRF ( now CRUK). Basal cells are negative. Positivity in hair follicles and adipocytes is due to melanin and biotin, respectively. I use a stABCpx-DAB  detection system, routinely.

Note that the basal layer of epidermis is negative. What appears to be a sweat duct, in the dermis, is positive. Note that there is a punctate positivity in the papillary layer of the dermis. This occurs with different abs. I do not know if it is specific.
