Dear All,

Fairfield Imaging has just held it's first open session for Histologists and
others who wish to gain hands-on experience with image alignment and 3-D
reconstruction based on serial sections. I would like to thank all of those
who came and who made it a great success.

I am pleased to announce we will be holding another Open Day in January on
Thursday the 20th & Friday the 21st 2000.

Again, the session will be held at our head office in Tunbridge Wells, Kent
(UK) (see our website for details on location and travel).

Day 1: Serial Section Alignment – Bring your own image stack or use our
sample data (our latest innovation also allows the user to warp sections in
case they have been distorted during the sectioning process).

Day 2: 3-D Reconstruction – View your aligned serial sections as a complete
3-D image. View the image from any angle and perform measurements and
intensity analysis.

The use of our facilities is free, as is our training and demonstrations.
Your only costs will be your own travel and hotel expenses.
