RE: Skin embedding protocol
When the skin is taken at necropsy place it gently on a piece of lens paper.
Place lens paper upside sown in formalin. I usually trim after fixation,
skin it straight and beautiful. Another technique is to use thin cork board
and pin the tissue. My preference is not to pin.

Subject: Skin embedding protocol
I am looking for a paraffin embedding protocol for rat skin. I need to
minimize shrinking, tissue folding and distortion. Also any
recommendations on a paraffin wax for soft tissues (ligaments and
fibrocartilages)?
Thanks,
