In response to your request on information on fume hoods, I'd just like to let you know that H/I manufactures a ductless, DownDraft Fume Extractor. The system can be expanded to any size that fits on your bench, as units can be placed alongside each other. Air is drawn down and away from the operator through a perforated workplate, channeled through a specially treated carbon filter, and then exits as clean air from the top of the unit. Filters come in no mess pillow form. As these units have no ductwork or plastic visors, they are fully portable and can be moved to wherever they are needed.
