The challenge and yes the frustration of Immunos is getting them to work
(correctly),
in a variety of circumstances, even though we control our labs ,we always
seem to
receive odd requests, cases that are not handled correctly, or a fixative
that is counter indicated for Immunos, fixatives, xylene, tissue thickness,
instrument failure, etc can be only a small portion of the reasons Immunos
fail. A manufacturer can not
test for everything, but thats why we have each other, try new
fixatives, discover some tricks,we have been working with Formalin,
Bouins(yuk!), Zinc Formalin, and everyday is a challenge and a reward. Good
Luck!!!!!
