RE: TAT requirements

From:"Fischer, R. B"

We cut all the slides for our hospital at a satilitte lab. We start at 4 am and have our slides including non-gyn cylologies ready for courier pick-up at 9am. They arrive at the hospital about 15 minutes later. Our QA form has a space for when the first tray was completed as well as the last tray and noted courier pick-up times.

Subject: TAT requirements

I'm wondering if any labs have specific TAT times for
when cases need to be delivered to the pathologists in
the morning. For example, do you require (or aim for)
80% of cases to be delivered by 9:30 AM (these are
arbitrary figures). If anybody is monitoring TAT time
in this manner could you please contact me. This is
going to be a new monitor for us and I would like to
set some target times for the lab.
Thanks
