NSH has a control tissue bank managed by Ethel Macrea. You will have to
join NSH if not already a member. If you send me a fax number I can fax you
an NSH application or contact NSH at histo@nsh.org <mailto:histo@nsh.org>

Subject: Pancreas needed
Hi - I'm a new subscriber and am already impressed and
overwhelmed by the
great questions being asked and the responses.
I am a diabetes researcher in Irvine, CA, and perform
histology and
immunohistochemistry on a variety of species (man, rodent,
primate, pig).
All of the human "tissue" that I work with is from cell
culture conditions.
I am in serious need of "normal" human pancreas (formalin
fixed, paraffin
embedded, of known age & gender). If anybody has a block
laying around and
could share, I would be most appreciative!. I have a pretty
unlimited supply
of pig parts, pancreas included, that I would be willing to
trade for or if
somebody just needs pig parts let me know.
Thank you all for your assistance.
