Can you recommend a good method for beta-gal IHC? We have been using the
Sigma GAL-13 antibody which is biotin labeled on tissue briefly fixed in 2%
paraformaldehyde without success. The tissue has been enzyme cytochemically
reacted with a substrate for beta-gal before fixing and processing into
paraffin. Do you suppose this enzyme cytochemical staining is preventing
the IHC labeling of the antigen? Please respond directly to
Philip.Hardy@uchsc.edu on this one.
