Sylvia Hewell (according to the header - no signature) inquires:
>>Can someone help us with the CPT coding of a wide excision of a melanoma?
The current coding is a 88305 (skin). But what if we have at least 20 blocks
on the specimen? Is there a different code for this?<<
I think this would be legitimately coded as an 88309 - a large cancer
resection specimen.
