Hi. I am looking for someone who has experience freezing cell pellets for
H&E and immunohistochemistry. I will be receiving 10e7 or 10e8 mouse cells
in 50 ml of media. I plan to spin the cells down to a pellet and pour off
the media. Next I would gently mix the cells with OCT and then freeze in
isopentane/dry ice. Hopefully the pellet will pop out of the tube once
frozen. Since I have never done this before, I am looking for advice and/or
alternative procedures that have proven successful. I want to avoid and
freeze/thaw artifact! Thanks.
