The tried and true 10% formalin is very hard to beat. Millonigs
formulation is good and gives quite acceptable ultrastructural
preservation.
For fixation of frozen sections, ethanol or Schoobridge's formulation
(Formal alcohol) gives good morphology and is a good place to start
for immunohistochemistry.
