Yes, on paraffin sections after fixation in (if I remember rightly)
both neutral buffered formaldehyde and Carnoy (on different blocks,
that is!) If you let me know your mailing address I can send you
two reprints. One is by R. W. Stoddart and me on staining with
fluorescent concanavalin A (I think it's the first published
description of fluorescent lectin staining of sections; other
people had used them on cells). The other describes a sandwich
method using con A and HRP.
