Scott,
	some antigens can be fixed with glutaraldehyde whereas others
cannot. You have to try it out. Typically, when starting with a new
antibody for EM, I would want to see it working on formalin fixed
paraffin sections first. Then I would fix three pieces of tissue, in 4%
paraformaldehyde, in 2% glutaraldehyde and in a mixture of
2%paraformaldehyde and 0.1% glutaraldehyde and try the antibody on
all of these.
  I would be interested in your results
with MMP's since I am staining for MMP's in paraffin sections and would
eventually like to do some EM immunogold.
