RE: Re - Ventana Labels
We routinely put the Ventana Ebar label on before cutting. We deparrifinize and perform antigen retrieval - using a waterbath, pressure cooker and microwave - and have had no incidences of the label being compromised.

Subject: Re - Ventana Labels
Hi again,
I am looking to see if anyone out there is putting the ventana barcode
labels on their slides at the time the sections are cut.I can probably see a
problem in the antigen retrevial if the heat would affect them but cannot
see if the same would apply to the ones which require digestion.I don't
think that the STW process would have deleterious affect if the xylene was
kept just below the attached label.
Thanks in advance
