I would like to join the discussion about mounting media for IF. I was
using Vectashield. It is very easy to use but I found also certain problems
- the staining was not very stable (especially with IB4). Then I started to
look for other mounting media and I found several options by Molecular
Probes. They offer mounting media with glycerol or without and drying
mounting medium for fluorescence microscopy. With the last one you need to
spend some more time and let the slides dry over night but the result is
really good!
