Hi Fred,

The tissue is (again) shark placenta, I believe fixed in 10% buffered
formalin, paraffin embedded.  I have no reason to believe that the tissue is
abnormal and I do see a particular distribution pattern to this "artifact",
hence my interest in trying to identify it.  The pathology lab here ran a
Perl's stain on it with no notable staining compared to the control...
