Re: FLOORS

We got samples of slip resistant flooring of various types.
We dripped a measured amount of xylene on them and left them for two
minutes.
Then we rubbed them with a tissue paper.
After xylene treatment the flooring which contained metal particles
wore away very quickly and became slippery.

I think the key points are:
1)how slippery the floor will be after cleaning; buffing and
polishing are not recommended;
2) solvent resistance;
3) Appearance. Dark floors dont show the scuff marks but light floor
brighten the room. I worked in a lab that had a blue floor and a
beige floor. It was very much lighter in the room with the beige
floor.

We have just choosen a rubber like material for the flooring.
The best I can say is "get samples and try them out"
