RE: Sliding Microtome info

Vibratome(tm) company now offers a full range of upscale microtomes, including cryostats, rotary microtomes, and a unique sliding microtome.
The sliding microtome is the Swiss Army knife of microtomes, it does every thing any tissue slicer will do, but slightly less efficiently than each task can be handled by one of the specialized instruments (cryostat, rotary microtome, vibrating microtome).
The one we offer has auto retracting, the blade moves down away from the tissue on the back stroke, and returns on the forward stroke. Auto advance is from 1-30 microtomes, but may be double pumped (or more) if desired. The blade is locked in place and doesn't move, the tissue is on a moving platform and moves into the blade. Large enough to accommodate human brain if needed, but with sliding shields directly in front of all parts of the blade not in use.
We can provide a quote and additional literature, or go to www.myneurolab.com or Vibratome(tm).com to see details, specs, and streaming video.
