Eileen,

Stereotatic breast bx are 88305.  Breast biopsies looking for margins are
88307.

ER/PR by IHC (immunohistochemistry)   is 88342.  CPT4 codes used by Quest
are for the analyte, not the procedure.  According to Quest, they  have
chosen to use analtye codes over procedural codes.

Happy Holiday's Everyone,
I have 2 questions about CPT Codes.
#1. What are you using for stereotactic breast bx, 88305/88307?
#2. If ER/PR  immunocytochemistry stain are ordered on a non breast case is
the CPT code different than 88342.
We recently ordered a Profile 1  (ER/PR) at Quest, their CPT is different.
