Dear histonetters,
We've been doing the Hucker/Twort gram stain for a short time. For some
reason the fast green is very light. The procedure that we have came from
a histo school in the Midwest. For the fast green it just says fast green
in ethanol. So we've made it up with 1gm.fast green to 100 ml. Reagent
alcohol. It's not staining all that well. Does anyone out there have a
more complete procedure? It references Theory and Practice of Histological
Technique, Bancroft and Stevens, 3rd Ed p 291.
Thanks in advance,
Kari Dalziel
