Due to some (alot) of re-organization in the CareAlliance Health System, our 
Surgical Pathology department has openings in the following:
	Two full-time or possibly one full-time and two part-time HT(ASCP) 
registered or eligible Histotechs.  Our clinical laboratory is looking for 
someone who can do routine Histology, Special Stains and 
immunohistochemistry.  Our lab uses Vip processors, a Leica stainer and the 
Sakura coverslipper.  We are using the Cerner computer system and have a 
Biotek for our immunohistochemistry.  We try to have most of our special 
stains and immunos out the same afternoon as the routine slides.  The hours 
on these positions are not set in stone as of yet, but will probably start in 
the 6:00 AM range. 
      We also have one full-time and one part-time position for Gross Lab 
Techs.  These techs use the Cerner computer to register and accession, do 
faxitron x-rays, frozen sections and assist with grossing.  These positions 
have historically been filled with "lab assistants" trained on the job with 
lesser (meager) salaries.  We are in the process of trying to upgrade these 
positions to higher levels, possible HT 1's or rotating with our pool of 
Histotechs.
